Water Tower Road Project Gets $39,750 Boost for Delays and Design Adjustments
Bentonville’s Water Tower Road and 8th Street Extension project is set to receive a $39,750 amendment to its agreement with McClelland Consulting Engineers. The additional funds aim to address challenges posed by a prolonged timeline and unforeseen design conflicts.
The amendment will fund:
Extended construction observation and administration services, necessitated by an eight-month extension to the construction timeline, now scheduled for completion in early 2025.
Resolution of AT&T fiber conflicts that impacted the project’s design.
As-built surveys of waterline and sewer installations to meet final city approval requirements.
This project, financed through the 2017 and 2021 Street Bond funds, is a cornerstone of Bentonville’s infrastructure expansion to support its growing population and urban development. “These updates ensure the project stays on track while maintaining the quality and safety Bentonville residents expect,” said a city official.
As Bentonville continues to grow, investments like this exemplify the city’s dedication to strategic infrastructure development that supports its community's needs.
