Bentonville Parks and Recreation Unveils 2025 Recreation Program Plans and Fee Adjustments

Bentonville, AR – With a focus on expanding community access and enhancing recreational offerings, Bentonville Parks and Recreation presented its 2025 Recreation Program Report and proposed fee adjustments during the recent Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting.

The upcoming year's program promises an array of activities aimed at fostering community engagement, health, and inclusivity across all age groups. "Our goal is to provide more options that appeal to everyone in Bentonville, from children and teens to adults and seniors," shared Greg Hughes, a department representative. This vision includes introducing new classes, expanding popular events, and updating programs based on community feedback.

However, as Bentonville continues to grow, the Parks and Recreation department has had to adjust fees to meet increasing operational and maintenance costs. While the details of the adjustments are still under review, the department assured residents that the fee changes are designed to support sustainable growth and keep participation affordable. Subsidized fees for low-income families and Bentonville residents are expected to remain intact, reinforcing the department's commitment to accessibility.

The 2025 recreation program lineup and finalized fee structures will be available on the Parks and Recreation website later this year. The board encourages residents to review the new offerings and share their feedback during the open comment period set for early December.
