State Trauma System Grant Funds Boost Medical Resources

Rogers is set to receive $16,633 in grant funds from the Arkansas Department of Health’s Trauma System to enhance its emergency medical services. During the August 27 meeting, the City Council will vote on amending the 2024 budget to incorporate these funds.

The grant will be allocated in two parts:

  • $6,633 will go toward medical supplies to ensure that Rogers Fire Department (RFD) EMS operations can continue to meet the growing needs of the community.

  • $10,000 will fund continuing education, allowing RFD to send an additional firefighter to paramedic school, improving the department’s capacity to respond to medical emergencies.

This investment not only ensures that Rogers’ first responders have the tools they need but also enhances the quality of care available to residents by training more paramedics.
