Re-Zoning for Higher Density Residential Development

Rogers continues to expand its residential infrastructure, with the City Council set to approve the re-zoning of a significant parcel of land from A-1 (Agricultural) to RMF-12B (Residential Multifamily). This re-zoning will allow the development of up to 12 residential units per acre, aligning with the city's long-term growth strategy.

The 43-acre plot of land, located between South Dodson Road and South Rainbow Road, will be the focus of a Density Concept Plan approved by the Planning Commission. This plan also includes granting a right-of-way easement to ensure connectivity through Rainbow Road. The shift in zoning represents an effort to meet the rising demand for multifamily housing as Rogers' population continues to grow.

Key details:

  • Re-zoning from A-1 to RMF-12B for higher-density housing.

  • The parcel covers 43 acres.

  • Connectivity to Rainbow Road will be established as part of the development plan.

This development reflects Rogers' efforts to address housing demand while adhering to urban planning goals for connectivity and community infrastructure.
