Rogers to Allocate $16.2 Million in FEMA Grants for Disaster Recovery and Public Projects

ROGERS, Ark. – In response to recent disasters and infrastructure needs, the City of Rogers will allocate $16.2 million in FEMA grants toward recovery projects, public safety improvements, and community redevelopment.

The funding will be distributed across multiple city departments, with significant investments in fire training, public parks, and historic building restoration.

Key Projects Funded by FEMA Grants

Some of the major allocations include:

  • $1.5 million for fire training center expansion, improving firefighter readiness.

  • $1.3 million to restore the historic Victory Theater, a key cultural landmark.

  • $1.5 million for library improvements, ensuring continued public access to educational resources.

  • $8.4 million for the redevelopment of Northwest Park, one of the city’s largest green spaces.

  • $300,000 for emergency protective measures, helping the city respond to future disasters.

"This funding is essential to making Rogers more resilient," said a city spokesperson. "We are investing in long-term infrastructure that benefits the entire community."

A Boost for Northwest Park and the Victory Theater

Northwest Park’s redevelopment will include new facilities, updated recreational areas, and improved environmental protections. The Victory Theater restoration will help preserve one of the city’s historic venues, which has hosted performances for generations.

City officials say construction timelines for these projects will be announced soon, with community meetings planned to discuss development plans.
