Rogers Moves More Funds for Tornado Recovery Efforts
The Rogers City Council has taken significant steps toward recovery after the devastating May 2024 tornado. During the October 8 meeting, the council amended its 2024 budget to recognize over $125,000 in insurance reimbursements to repair city vehicles damaged by the storm. Additionally, the budget allocates $480,347 to rebuild the historic Victory Theater, which was also hit hard during the tornado.
The tornado’s impact continues to be felt, but these efforts mark a key moment in restoring vital city infrastructure. City leaders emphasized the importance of the Victory Theater to the community's cultural fabric, and the vehicle repairs will aid in keeping city services running smoothly. Residents can expect more updates as Rogers makes further strides in its recovery.
