Master Plan for Memorial Park Underway

Bentonville is set to take the next step in enhancing one of its key public spaces. The City Council is expected to approve a $36,000 professional services contract with Ecological Design Group to develop a master plan for Memorial Park. This initiative aims to reimagine the park’s layout and facilities to better serve the community’s recreational needs.

Memorial Park is a popular destination for residents, hosting a variety of outdoor activities and events. However, with Bentonville’s growing population, the need for upgraded amenities and expanded spaces has become increasingly apparent. The master plan will provide a comprehensive roadmap for the park’s future, ensuring it remains a vibrant and functional community space.

“This project underscores the city’s commitment to investing in public spaces that enhance quality of life for all residents,” said a city official. The plan will consider community input, environmental sustainability, and the park’s long-term role in Bentonville’s recreational offerings.

Once the contract is approved, work on the master plan will begin in early 2025, marking an exciting development for Bentonville’s park system.
