Future Land Use Map Amendment for Greenhouse Road

The Bentonville City Council will vote on a resolution to amend the city’s Future Land Use Map, changing a portion of Greenhouse Road from Open Space to General Commercial. This amendment is part of a broader effort to accommodate the city’s rapid commercial development and increasing demand for commercial properties.

The Planning Commission unanimously recommended the amendment, highlighting its alignment with the city’s strategic growth objectives. In conjunction with this change, the council will also consider rezoning the area from Agricultural (A-1) to General Commercial (C-2), further solidifying its future as a hub for businesses.

“This change reflects the city’s commitment to strategic growth and balancing commercial development with community needs,” said a Planning Commission representative.

If approved, the amendment and rezoning will provide developers with new opportunities to invest in Bentonville while ensuring the area’s infrastructure can support increased commercial activity. The council’s decision could set the tone for future land use changes in the region.
