Freddy’s Frozen Custard Set to Open New Bentonville Location Amid Growth Surge

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – A new Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is in the works for 3308 Southwest 14th Street, with the project moving forward after gaining Planning Commission approval on March 4, 2025.

The 2,500-square-foot drive-through restaurant is being developed by Plaza Street Partners and Suite Spaces LLC on a 1.48-acre site. The property, currently zoned C-2 (General Commercial), sits near a mix of agricultural land, high-density multifamily housing, and county property.

Project Details & Community Impact

  • The drive-through restaurant will include 36 parking spaces, with two ADA-compliant stalls.

  • The exterior will feature fiber cement panels (Nichiha Wall Panel), brick, large storefront windows, and cast foundation stone, ensuring compliance with Bentonville’s architectural development code.

  • Landscaping will introduce 46 new trees throughout the site.

  • Traffic considerations: The site will have one entrance onto Southwest 14th Street, and planners believe the existing street network will effectively disperse vehicle flow.

The project falls under Priority Area 3 (Edge Growth) in the Bentonville Community Plan, meaning it aligns with the city's vision for new commercial developments near existing infrastructure.

Public Input & Next Steps

At the time of the Planning Commission review, no public comments or objections had been submitted.

With staff recommending approval, Freddy’s is on track to become one of Bentonville’s latest additions to its growing commercial corridor. The development is part of a broader economic expansion in Southwest Bentonville, where businesses are capitalizing on the city’s rapid population growth and increasing demand for dining options.
