Bentonville Recognizes Young Leaders and Civic Contributions
At the December 10, 2024, City Council meeting, Bentonville celebrated the contributions of young citizens and community groups that have positively impacted the city this year.
The City Council formally recognized the efforts of Boy Scout Troop 36, led by Meni Tenorio, for their year-long commitment to leading the Pledge of Allegiance during Council meetings. The troop received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of their dedication. Mayor Orman commended their contributions, stating, "Their commitment exemplifies the leadership and civic pride we hope to instill in all our residents."
Additionally, members of the Community and Youth Councils were honored for completing their year-long programs. These initiatives provided participants with firsthand experience in civic planning and leadership. Graduates played key roles in community clean-ups, policy discussions, and even contributed to the city’s planning efforts.
Programs like these underscore Bentonville’s commitment to fostering civic engagement and developing future leaders. Residents are encouraged to get involved in these initiatives, which aim to make the city more inclusive and participatory.
