Bella Vista Moves Forward with $6.37 Million City Office Construction Project

The Bella Vista City Council has unanimously approved a resolution authorizing Mayor John Flynn and City Clerk to enter into a Guaranteed Maximum Price contract amendment with Clinard Construction Management, Inc. The contract, totaling $6,374,873.18, will cover the costs of continuing construction and remodeling of the former police and fire stations into new city administrative offices.

The project, which combines phases 1 and 2 of the construction along with associated sitework, aims to centralize city administrative functions and provide better services to the community. The project's coordination with ARDOT to manage the street intersection in front of City Hall was highlighted during the council meeting, addressing past issues and ensuring a smooth continuation of the work.

Chief Sims provided an overview of the funds already spent on the initial phases of the project, emphasizing the importance of this investment in improving city infrastructure and operational efficiency. The council's unanimous vote reflects strong support for the project, underscoring its significance in Bella Vista's ongoing development.
