Rebuilding Rogers: A Collaborative Effort Among Local Firms
Rogers is taking major steps in its post-tornado recovery, partnering with local firms for the design and construction management of several key public facilities. At the September 10 City Council meeting, resolutions will be discussed to approve agreements with architectural and construction firms based in Northwest Arkansas to rebuild and repair structures damaged by the May 2024 tornado.
The city is working with Paragon Architecture, DeMx Architecture, and Hight Jackson & Associates for design services. These firms will handle projects such as the Rogers Public Library, Fire Department Training Center, and Northwest Park. Additionally, Flintco, Milestone Construction, and Nabholz Construction have been tapped to manage the rebuilding process for these facilities.
The decision to work with local firms reflects Rogers’ commitment to fostering community-driven recovery efforts. These projects include both extensive repairs and complete rebuilds of facilities that were significantly impacted by the tornado.
The collaboration between the city and these trusted local firms ensures that the recovery process will not only be efficient but also contribute to the local economy. By keeping the work within the community, Rogers is helping create jobs and support local businesses during this crucial rebuilding phase.
Key projects like the Victory Theater, Northwest Park, and Street Department building are priorities in the city’s recovery efforts, and work is expected to begin soon. With local expertise driving the process, residents can look forward to seeing their community spaces restored and improved in the coming months.
