Barrington Place Rezoning and Density Concept Plan

The Rogers City Council is currently reviewing a significant rezoning proposal for the Barrington Place development, which involves the transformation of approximately 43 acres of land from Agricultural (A-1) to Residential Multi-Family (RMF-12B) zoning. This change, if approved, would allow for the construction of around 500 residential units, dramatically increasing the housing density in the area.

Located along South Dodson and South Rainbow Road, the proposed development would sit near existing multi-family complexes and a charter school. This proximity raises concerns among local residents, who have voiced opposition to the project, citing potential negative impacts on traffic flow and local infrastructure. The story offers a platform to explore these concerns and the broader implications of such a dense development in a primarily residential area.
